Recent Islamorada feedback
Home inspection came back with nine electrical items. Sent them the report, got a line-by-line price, and they knocked all nine out in one morning with photos for the buyer.
Hot tub arrived with no circuit for it. They came out the next day, ran the dedicated line and the disconnect, and it passed inspection first time.
Six recessed lights in a kitchen that had one sad ceiling fixture. They chalked the layout on the ceiling first so I could move two of them. Small thing, big difference.
Generator Installation in Islamorada: questions
What size generator do I need for my Islamorada home?
It depends on whether you want the whole house or just the essentials. In Islamorada, central air is usually the deciding load. We measure the real demand and size the unit to it rather than selling you the biggest box on the shelf.
Does a standby generator start automatically during a Islamorada outage?
Yes, with an automatic transfer switch. The unit senses the loss of utility power, starts, and takes over in seconds, then switches back and shuts down once the grid returns. You do not need to be home.
Natural gas or propane for a standby generator?
Natural gas is simpler where the street has service, because there is no tank to refill. Propane is the answer for most Islamorada properties without a gas main. We coordinate the gas work either way.
Do generators need servicing?
They do. A standby unit exercises itself weekly and needs oil, filters and a battery check on a schedule. We set up the exercise routine and can handle the annual visit.
